180 Muffle Enamelling Kiln
Muffle enamelling kiln which is suitable for a range of applications and all firing techniques for firing temperatures from 4000c to 11000c, e.g., for firing glass, enamels, and ceramics, as well as for the annealing of metals and tools.
When using the kiln for the first time, heat it up slowly until the final temperature is reached. A slight development of smoke is normal when putting the kiln into service.
Care and maintenance: Deposits of black soot may arise inside the firing chamber. These may be removed by operating the kiln at the maximum temperature for 45 minutes in order to burn the soot away. The outside of the kiln may be cleaned with a damp cloth, when the kiln has cooled down. Under no circumstance should water be introduced into the firing chamber.
We recommend that this kiln is used with a temperature control device. Our 351-0001/U0002 energy controller is ideal and can be easily fitted between the power supply and the kiln. The separate 351-0005/U0005 pyrometer/thermocouple is also available and this kiln model is pre-drilled in the back wall for insertion of the ceramic probe.
Caution: All parts of this kiln can become hot.
